Oakwood arrived on the job upon completion of precast walls and installed exterior doors and frames. At the time of arrival, the building was secure but had only temporary doors and enclosures. The Oakwood team had a lot of work to do and made sure to adhere to their strict schedule. They began by installing miscellaneous metals embedded in the concrete floor and precast walls, including the compactor door and protective pipe bollards. They also installed miscellaneous welded metals including roof hatches and access ladders. In addition, Oakwood was responsible for the installation of all wood backing throughout the project, which included installation of all plywood and laminate wainscoting, doors, frames and hardware. Oakwood also put in all bathroom partitions and accessories and provided all coring and concrete piers required for the garden center shade structure. Last, Oakwood installed plastic chair rails at the perimeter of the store and provided ongoing and consistent cleanup for the entire project. By staying organized and on schedule, Oakwood was able to complete the immense project in just over six months.
