For nearly three decades, the team at Oakwood Contractors has prided itself on turning challenges into success stories.

Oakwood Contractors was founded in 1982 in Schaumburg, Illinois by Paul Morck, Jr. With only five workers and nothing but a garage to work from, Paul set off to face his first challenge—proving that you don’t need a hundred men and a huge warehouse to provide quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price. Paul and his core team dedicated themselves to providing solution-driven customer service and formed strong relationships with many local retailers.

In the following years, Oakwood began to branch out, offering a wider range of services, attracting new clients and adding new talent to the team. We now faced the challenge of growing while staying true to our roots of high quality service—and were able to do just that. By 1994, Oakwood had tripled in size and moved to a new office/warehouse facility in East Dundee. As time passes, we’ve continued to develop new capabilities, such as design/build services and green building offerings, to keep pace with our clients’ needs.

Today, Oakwood Contractors is a full-service general contractor employing our own select crew of qualified carpenters who are just as passionate about providing quality service as the people who occupied that very first garage. And although we work from a warehouse in McHenry 20 times the size of the original Oakwood establishment, we still deliver on our promise to take on any challenge and do whatever it takes to generate a successful end result for our clients.
